Seoknamsa Temple, Eonyang

Gorgeousness awaits.
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of visiting the Seoknamsa Temple in Seokansan with my friends Danielle and Dana (I'm Alex haha, yes I clash). This is still in Ulsan but very, very far from the downtown area. In fact, I found out just how far my favourite city bus #807 goes... Seoknamsa is the end of the line. So if you're ever in Samsandong and feel like visiting a beautiful temple with the most picturesque surroundings, well hop onto the 807 (or the 1713 if you don't mind the slightly more expensive fare and want a comfortable seat). It's a long ride but so worth it.

So we met up in Samsandong at around 1pm, had a quick bite and then headed out to the temple via my dong (hey check out my school!).

By the way, Seoknamsa is noteworthy for being a women's temple: nuns run the place. They are extremely nice and smile :)

Another little removed spot next to the pathway. These look like miniature inukshuks!

The river runs in you...

Behold Seoknamsa.

Welcoming you in...

Vestiges of Korea's past, before King Sejong invented the Korean alphabet.

I'm sure it looks better without the light strings...

Visitors can (for a fee) write a message of encouragement or devotion for the temple's nuns.

Bamboo forest :)

A most excellent view. Look at those rolling mountains.

Why, hello. These cats came out of nowhere!
